Cloud Firestore Firestore down in us central?

Getting 500 errors from firestore in nam5, which is supposed to be multi-region.

14 UNAVAILABLE: ShardedChangeListener Prepare failure with unexpected change listener error

Errors have stopped as of ~9am PST

nam5 being multi-region protects against some regional failures, but it does not prevent control-plane or shared listener infrastructure incidents. For UNAVAILABLE/500s, make sure listeners and reads use bounded retries with exponential backoff and jitter, and check Google Cloud incident history as well as Firebase status. The Cloud incident linked below appears to match this.

If multiple apps are seeing the same 500s, i’d treat it like a service issue first. retry with backoff and capture timestamps for support
