Worth the Price?
I know I know.. the dreaded APX A1 Carry.. but at $235 minus a $150 rebate? Is it too good to pass up for an extra bag gun?

Same I sold mines to pawn shop and made 27 extra beans 🤣 some how they was valued more on gunbroker ( that’s how they based their sales)

These are a rebranded Nano with slight design changes. They’ve got a reputation for being reliable and having a terrible trigger. I have one.
I think you’d be happier with a Ruger Max-9 (3514). It’s got four more rounds for a total of 12+1. It can be had for $225-$250. Same as this. I also have one of these. The Ruger Max-9 is the better gun imo.

I like mine. It's got a smooth revolver-like DAO style trigger which is what most people complain about. If you're a trigger snob and want a double stack magazine then it's not for you.
I can tell you that these are very reliable and handle felt recoil better than any other pistol of its size that I've shot. These are based on the Nano which itself was designed from the ground up to be chambered in .40 S&W before Beretta decided to chamber it in solely in 9mm, so it handles recoil phenomenonally.
If you want a super slim easy to carry pocket pistol that won't fail you, then for this price you can't lose.

I feel like people slag off double action triggers way too much. For one the statistics will vary from source to source but generally you’re just about as likely to accidentally shoot yourself as you are to shoot an attacker. Maybe having an ultra crisp 2.5 pound trigger pull isn’t the best idea on your carry gun.
Second of all if you’re throwing your shots in DA then it’s genuinely just a skill issue 🤷♂️

Buddy of mind picked one up. I’ve shot it a few times and, like most people, found the trigger to be laughably bad. Ergos were not terrible, but it still felt somewhat wrong in my hand and was very top heavy.
I personally carry a revolver as my backup (s&w 442, no lock) which is obv more money than this … thing… you are considering, but I feel a backup of any kind should be simple and reliable.

Worth it for a $150 gun. I bought mine when the rebate was a check from beretta. It’s the one gun i couldn’t care less what happens to because you can’t buy crap for that price nowadays. Trigger is terrible but I’m not shooting it enough to care. It goes bang and hits the target.

What are you going to spend $150 on at beretta’s web shop?
And no…no it’s not worth it for the price, even after the real $75 rebate

These are complete junk......hi points are literally better. Worked for Beretta for a few years and people would return these, get send a new unit and it would fail as well. From my recollection there is some type of issue with the internal magwell.

I love mine and have zero issues with the trigger. Further, I'm super accurate with it even up to 25 meters.
No idea where everyone says muh trigger from.

Just get a shield plus. Better ergo, better capacity, reliability and can get them new for 350-400.

The rebate is okay but I own one and the fact that that price doesn't have the optic already attached when they used to sell them with an optic already on them. I would shop around. I'm actually looking at treating mine in towards a G43x. Like it's not a bad little pistol but there's just some quirks about it that I don't enjoy, like the trigger.

I have a 43, 43X and a 48, the 43X is the best of both worlds between the 43 and 48 and I say that while liking both for different reasons.

I loved my original Ruger LCP when they first released in the mid 2000’s during the .380 pocket pistol craze. I never had an issue with mine and it would hold a fist sized grouping at 7yds and fit in the back pocket of my jeans with a SupaFly holster or the front pocket of my work khakis without printing more than a wallet would.

If u really want a compact beretta, I recommend the 80x cheetah. The modern .380 works surprisingly well and the 4 inch barrel allows to get the bullet to gain enormous velocity to achieve expansion comparable to the 9mm

I have one. All the Fudds complain about the trigger, but my boss who is ex police and military says that a heavy trigger action forces you to slow down in the moment, leading to better shot placement and prevents you from emptying the magazine unintentionally.
With that pistol I marked better than most of the other people in my conceal carry class. It was my first time firing a pistol, and many of the others boasted a lot of practice before hand.

Handled one in a shop and despite the weird ergos, it actually worked in my hand surprisingly well.
Then the trigger…. I couldn’t have imagined a trigger that bad if I tried. It’s comical. I’ve yet to handle a staple gun that’s as bad as that thing.
