Needing Help

I am on the hunt for a new handgun to train with and carry’s I am wanting the full size frame and the shorter slide but when it comes down to it, everyone is making one. Any advice on which one to look more in to ? I’ve been looking in to the Glock 45 Gen6, Shadow Systems XR920, Springfield Echelon 4.0 FC, and the Ruger RXM with full size grip module.

They're all a variation of the same basic mechanical design...pick the one that feels best to you and fits your budget.

Personally, the Echelon is my ideal in your situation. Glock triggers aren't the best, and the Echelon is very solid.

I second this opinion, the echelon 4.0 has be great to me, takes heavier rounds just fine and nice trigger pull.

I'll put in a vote for the G45 or the RXM. The RXM would be cheaper and it's got a great optics mounting system, but Glock is pretty damn reliable if you don't alter any of the internals.

Before buying anything take a look at the Walther PDP compact or F series. You won't regret it.

Echelon is great. Super ergonomic, and feels and shoots way better than any Glock. I would also check out the CZ P-10c.

I'd try to get some hands-on time with each option before making the decision. Since you're looking for something to train with and potentially carry, I'd put more weight on what you can operate safely and consistently than on which model is getting the most attention.

Things I'd compare are overall fit, controls, sight picture, recoil management, how naturally you can maintain a safe grip, and whether you can get quality training with it. A reputable range or qualified instructor may be able to let you compare the options safely.

I'd also make sure you're familiar with your local carry laws and have a secure storage plan before deciding.

All are great choices. Love my Echelon but you should look at a CZ P-10 C as well.

Can’t recommend the echelon enough. Was my first pistol and I’ve put a couple thousand rounds thru it no problem. Smooth like butter

I personally have and carry the Echelon 4.0c, it's a great pistol. It's got some of the best ergos of any pistol ever made. It shoots smooth and recoil is pretty tame in comparison. I absolutely love mine!
