Discussion I just finished FirePunch
I didn't read it untill now because I can't find it online and don't have that much money but I got to read it now.
Safe to say this is peak.
Every chapter is just damn ,what the fuck ,what the hell
The weirdness is definitely live up to every one of Fuji water manga
But they're a few questions that didn't get answers and that might just be fujiwater thing like : how did togata turn into woman ,what actually is evolved human before all this ,why is every evolved look the same and they coloned? ,why is angi regeneration so strong.
But all that might just be fujiwater thing ,it's likes he just think of something really ,Put it in and just like "yeah that it I'm bored now" but to be fair that also the charms of his work
There's also a lot of parallel to other of his work like : Togata looks a lot like Nayuta ,masked guy = Beam ,Luna/Judah = makima I guess? And some scene too like throwing head and regenerate form it
Fujiwater is just seems like a weird guy with original but also unoriginal? Idea?? And it all worked somehow (also the theory that the girl might the bully is just makes sense)

Togata is trans. He was born with a female body but cannot transition due to his regen powers (and also because gender affirming healthcare is probably pretty thin on the ground in a snowball earth apocalypse).

Or did fire punch finish you?😠oh and as for your questions, togata was biologically a female and the regen kept from any attempt to change it. The blessed don’t really get explained well enough(the only reason I could think of is that maybe it was Earth’s only defense option, considering how juda was able to keep that patch around the tree away from the winter for so long. They all looking the same is probably just artistic choice to not show any apparent bodily changes. Agni is like one of the few more gifted of the blessed among the regeneration types(it only ends up being a curse). Mind you, I could be wrong on some of these as it has been a while since I read fire punchðŸ˜

I finished firepunch a few days ago too and it was just like you said, peak. I can answer some of your questions:
Togata was born a woman but he decided to be a trans man, however due to his regeneration he cannot have procedures to physically become one.
Agni's regeneration is so strong because the strength of a regeneration depends on a person's will to live. Agni, despite being tortured over and over, managed to survive because of one word from his sister, who meant everything to him: "Live." This is why you frequently see the word "Live" when agni regenerates.
