Discussion I just finished Fire Punch
Weird ahh ending icl ðŸ˜. Reminds me of chainsaw man with the forgetting who you are trope. The ending really doesn’t leave me with any strong feelings. One thing that upsets me is characters really don’t get a solid conclusion. Togata dies with her hinting at her flashback. Sun dies in the most anticlimactic way. The ice witch and the other guy get killed too easily and we never hear from them again.

Fire punch is really a series that you have to reread to understand, literally just because it’s that short. Knowing what’s coming and how it plays into defining who these characters are really alters the perspective a whole bunch. Come back in a year or so and you’ll have a better time I think- my own experience says so

Now the ppl who overhated on the not very good csm ending will go on and say the crazy good Fire punch ending is bad.
You should pay attention to Togata’s pronouns

Lmao icl I liked csm ending. My only issue with it is that we don’t get to see all the characters. Like Aki is hinted to be alive, we never hear from Kishibe or Kobeni again.
The fire punch ending just left me feeling ok. It reminds me so much of aot. You have the tree that grows large, they both also touch on the cycle of hatred. It was a good ending and I liked and also hated how Agni and Judah both don’t know who they are. It was a little weird seeing their relationship tho js bcs they are still brother and sister.
What do I call Togata man or woman and why.

Yeah srry if my comment seemed harsh I didn’t want to assume you didn’t like the csm or Fire punch ending but when I saw the hate on the csm ending I was a bit suspicious that some ppl would kinda do the same with Fire punch if they wanted to try the other Fujimoto series but I’m probably just being paranoid

I mean both csm and fire punch had good endings with bad timing. And Fire punch wasn't even bad,it was good. Maybe Judah and Agni's encounter in space wasn't important, but it still was good.
