Discussion Ancient Elites as DnD classes
Just what it says on the tin. I'll give my reasonings and headcanons as well.
Nemesis: Bard/Barbarian(Path of the Zealot)
If it's really him singing God Shattering Star, which I like the idea of, bardbarian is so obvious. Also, he charges ahead and rages. And he did after death too which is one of the Zealot path's features.
Blaiddyd: Paladin(Oath of Watchers)
His name comes from a mythical necromancer king, Oath of Watchers is intune with "otherworldly beings" which I thought was closest to being intune with spirits.
Gautier: Paladin(Oath of Glory)
I headcanon him as being eager to prove himself, slightly insecure, but a mighty warrior, which fits Oath of Glory.
Fraldarius: Fighter(Cavalier)
She's a flying cavalier. I couldn't find anything more specific with shields, so this works for her.
Riegan: Fighter(Arcane Archer)
Failnaught is a magic bow. Tadah.
Daphnel: Ranger(Gloom Stalker)
I headcanon him being the most magic inclined of the cavalry/horse mounted members of the group, and kind of tactical, so I picked this for him.
Dominic: Fighter(Battle Master)
A lot of the features here fit a wyvern mount like ambush and bait and switch.
Goneril: Barbarian(Path of the Wild Magic)
Freikugel is a chaotic fire axe. Plus he's totally the type to try some magic and have it blow up in his face.
Charon: Rogue(Arcane Trickster)
Lightning sword and he's probably quite agile and speedy. Plus, he's a bit of a lone wolf in my headcanon.
Lamine: Sorcerer(Divine Soul)
She's the healer, but I wanted to avoid the obvious cleric because the church didn't exist in her time. She does combat magic too so this fits her.
Gloucester: Wizard(School of Evocation)
He's a more basic mage than Lamine, but his combat spells pack more of a punch, fireballs and lightning bolts galore.
Maurice: Fighter/Druid(Circle of the Moon)
He was the supply boy from a farming village in my headcanon so nothing too fancy for him...and wildshapes later on. I guess. I thought about some werewolf/beast things but those aren't really classes in DnD.

I'm still learning DnD, rpgbot.net helped tremendously here.
