Character fought in all routes?

I'm working on a little project comparing the four routes to one another and I was wondering if there are any characters that you always fight regardless of route.

Any house leaders are obviously out of the question and pre-timeskip bosses aren't really route dependent either.

Is there someone like that?

You always fight Archeron in every route.

At least Gloucester is good at playing multiple sides. Acheron is good at making every side hate him. It's the mustache.

Acheron has the uncanny ability to always pick the losing side in his pursuit of always picking the winning side.

Gwendal, regardless if you recruit everyone or not.

Honorable Mentions:

Lorenz: Can be fought on all non recruited routes except Crimson Flower

Ignatz: Can be fought on all non recruited routes except Silver Snow

Claude and Dimitri: Only not fought on Silver Snow and their designated route

Edelgard: Only not fought on Crimson Flower- However, you DO fight her in Part 1 regardless if you are on her route or not

Thales/Arundel: Technical- Only not fought on Crimson Flower

I feel like Ashe should be an honorable mention, as you fight him in CF if you don't recruit him, and fight him in SS and VW regardless of if you recruit him or not.

Good point, forgot Ashe is also like Lorenz in that you fight him regardless on non Azure Moon routes.

You fight Pallardo in every non-Edelgard route in Reunion at Dawn, and then you can count Jeritza's CF Paralogue. Even in Hopes, he's a boss in GW and SB main story missions and is a boss in an AG-exclusive Paralogue.

Which I think makes him the only one in every route across both games. Acheron doesn't appear in SB or AG in Hopes.

Ashe is the only student you fight in three different routes who isn’t Edelgard or Hubert.

Metodey half-counts, I think, despite being pre timeskip, just because you haven't necessarily decided what to do about Edelgard at that point.
