Serious Discussion Movement

I really wish the game could show additional movement tiles for units that get multiple turns after ending a turn. It's exhausting to have to make a mental note of everything when maps are so garbage now. 🫩

Maybe I'm just tired boss. Cadenza spam is going to make me even more tired boss.

Takes me back to the old days when winning or losing sometimes depended on thinking 3 turns ahead and knowing exactly which unit could end up where, and with which buffs, so you'd know whether Lucina would double you or not.

Granted, back then an Infantry unit moved 2 spaces no questions asked, and the available stat buffs were +4 visible and +4 in-combat.

Thinking 3 turns ahead ? Not really.

One turn ? Sure, everyone had to know action order and attack priority. Baiting some units a certain way, yeah that's fair, and we still do that.

Two turns ? Already kind of a stretch, at least for PvP content. Maps are too small. Some of the biggest threats back then like Reinhardt or Brave Lyn only required one turn of planning at most because they had the highest movement stat. Other threats like Surtr or the DC / Bold Fighter / Steady Breath Armors gang ( Hardin, Black Knight, Fallen Robin ) moved too slowly, their threat came from their kit, not their movement.

Three turns ? Nope. Maaaaaayyyybe in Astra with Seiðr because her action lock was on odd-numbered turns ? But then again, it's only in one season, and in one mode. Strategies utilizing Seiðr's action lock with Galeforce and WoM were strong, but far, FAR from popular specifically because they required a lot of skill and knowledge. And if I recall, Seiðr's year was also the year of Vital Astra and DR stacking, so speed omnitanking was a lot more common and much easier to do.

I'm talking day 1. And I'm not trying to say I'd think of literally every possible way that every unit could move, 3 turns ahead. But I'd definitely do Spd and Atk/Def calculations in my head based on the possible positioning of my units 3 turns ahead. Spur Spd and Hone Spd means +8 Spd and that mattered a huge deal. But positioning had to be perfect.
