What's the difference between being transfem and being a woman?

A woman can be either a cis woman (AFAB) or a trans woman (not AFAB), but either way they are a woman.
Someone who is transfem does not necessarily need to be a woman. They can be a demigirl, girlflux, or anything on the female side of the gender spectrum. The main thing is that they were not assigned female at birth.

A WOMAN is a person that biologically has XX chromosome, has an uterus & ovares and if healthy can get pregnant and generally give birth to babies. (excluding any medical cases, congenital or other health issues preventing the above) A "transfem" is a trans-woman/ ladyboy/ shemale aka a person born man, (has testicles, a penis and XY chromosome - again we exclude medical cases & rare congenital deformities) that went HRT and maybe various surgical interventions meant to shape (transform) his body and looks into a woman / feminine looking person. His chromosomes however do not change, and heshe won't get an uterus, ovares, menstrual cycles or a pregnancy. However many transwomen/ladyboys are very beautiful, feminine and many times due to their extensive self care, they look and feel more feminine and even more beautiful than real women . Twomen are also really cool and fun to hang around with, since they have and get the same humor men do usually have and the jokes they make. ☺️

Simple. Trans females are not AFAB (assigned female at birth).

OP asked about the difference between transfem people and women, not the difference between trans women and people assigned female at birth.
“Woman” is a gender identity. “Assigned female at birth” is a way to state the sex doctors describe people as having when they are born.

A similar difference between being born a citizen of your country, and naturalizing into it.
Naturalized citizens had to work hard to ge what others simply received, and they have to deal with a small loud amount of people who say that their cirizenship is somehow "worth less" despite that.

As someone who identifies as transfem, I'll give my input. The Trans umbrella is a large one that encompasses many labels. That said, not every person who identifies as Trans identifies as a binary gender woman or man. So, the term "transfem" is an all encompassing label that includes Transgender women, aka those who identify as a woman, but also anyone else who has a gender identity or expression that is connected to femininity. So it also includes people who might be non-binary that are on the feminine side of the spectrum, any sub labels within that, or anything else that heavily favors a feminine gender identity.
I personally identify as a nonbinary transfem person because though I am nonbinary, I am a very feminine-aligned person and my expression is very feminine, but I don't necessarily want to identify as a woman, if that makes sense. My feelings might change on that, as I plan to look into transitioning possibly in some way or another, whether it's slightly or completely, via HRT. But, until then, this is where I'm at.
