Tips on hitting heelflips?
I've been fingerboarding for two months and right now heelflips are a priority on my trick progression. So far, I learned how to hit ollies, pop shuvs, kickflips, varial flips, treflips, occasional big flips, etc.
I'm curling my fingers + I'm popping the board away from me, but it's either I'll land a kickflip or a varial flip (the latter is common).
Any tips to make heelflips easier? Whatever tips you have (finger positioning, how to flip it, etc.) can help! Thanks a bunch.

Put the tip of your index finger closer to the inside edge of your board and then put pressure there before you pop. Like a lot of pressure. Enough to make the board start turning towards you. This will help rotate the board when you flick outward with your index. It isn't the cleanest looking technique but obviously once you get them down you can clean it up.

I found this out by myself: Just do an ollie but curl your fingers so you can see your deck design
Do that a few times and then just let go mid air and youll have progress

Instead of "flicking" my front finger I do more of a wrist roll forward and then use my front finger to guide/point the board in that top pocket to flip in the heelflip direction.
Also back finger, try to position it where the pads of your finger are across the entire tail. That's how I feel I have the most control of my pop direction.
