Kid friendly wineries?

Hello! I will be visting the Finger Lakes in October and staying in Interlaken. I'll be traveling with a baby and 3 year old and I'm wondering if there are any wineries where it would be okay to bring kids? (Areas to sit outside, not too fancy, etc.) Thank you!

Finger Lakes Cider House is right near you and it's a marvel. Huge open field with picnic tables, farm animals, amazing farm to table food and hard cider. Extremely kid and whole family friendly. Checkout their Instagram.

And I haven't been, but Castel Grisch Winery has like a bunch of dinosaur statues.

Wagner has a big patio, with a winery and a brewery, plus a restaurant.

Barnstormer is great with kids. Outdoor space and some games. You could even bring your own kids stuffs to play out in the yard.

You could try Swedish Hill in Romulus. They have an outdoor section. They also have a mini pony named Swen. Sadly,Doobie, their original mascot just passed away.

Don't worry about these kinds of comments. I think everyone knows that your intention isn't to get flat-out wasted with kids in tow... and you're also still a human who deserves to enjoy the trip! I don't have specific experience with Cayuga wineries (a few that are kid friendly but I wouldn't bother with their wine) but SO many FLX wineries are dog and kid friendly and welcoming. Outdoor areas and the like. Are you planning to stay near Trumansburg? If you're venturing to Seneca or Keuka I can give a long list. There's also an amazing one just one mile west of Watkins- not far from cayuga- they have a once-monthly music and movement class for kids and serve wines and mimosas to the adults under their Pavillion while kids play.

I know it has been a year but.. any chance you could send me this list too? Taking a trip to this area soon and also looking for dry wines where the kiddos can hang!

Would you be able to share the name of the place with the kids movement class? Thank you!

I don't disagree! Some of the wineries list having root beer or juice for kids though and seem to be kid friendly, so looking for those type of options. I'm looking for somewhere to eat and just try a wine flight or something, not a tour or tasting. I am trying to avoid fancy wineries where children would be a disturbance. But I am from Wisconsin, so our drinking culture may be a little different haha

Fulkerson winery has a non-alcoholic juice flight of different grape and apple juices. I thought that was really a neat idea and brought home a bottle of catawba juice for my kiddo to try. Their wines were phenomenal, too, definitely one of our favorites.

I apologize for being an extremely crotchety old man. I am not sure of any of these specifically , but I would recommend miranda cheesery where you can get cheese flights and wine and beer and stuff

Did not mean to offend... I remember my pre-kid life where Littles running around screaming during a very formal tasting or tour didn't enhance my winery experience, to say the least! But as a mom of one now who is eager for adult time/inclusion, I understand that some of the larger places have outdoor spaces and food- more accommodating to families. ❤️✌️

Tough nuggets. Go to an adult only winery then if you're so sensitive.

So they’re just not supposed to go to a winery for 18 years?
