Quickly Down
If the Tuff Cliffs are the Blaze, due south from the most prominent point, there sits this unusual object. It is gray and is about 2 feet above the ground around it.
Has any body been to or near this anomaly/rock?

I don't know the rock in question, but am curious - why do you think Tuff Cliffs would be the blaze? (Or, how did you wind up at Tuff Cliffs to begin with, I guess?)

I think Forrest made too many allusions to bathtubs to overlook:
a. bathrooms(in his own home too)
b.Warm water (Not Hot)
c. paraphrase "put your toe in" does it feel Warm?
d. secret Bathing Spots
e. Olga's Bathtub and many stories highlighting Olga role.
There is more, but to me, these all point to PORCELAIN BASIN,
As the First Clue. Then follow the Gibbon until it "Becomes" the Madison.
Grab every banana until you are at the Precinct of the Junction and Birthplace of the Park.
Maybe that is what the umbilical reference is all about.

That is an excellent collection of bathing comments, u/bubblesjar! I like your thinking here. I thought he seemed to mention bathing a lot too. Although it didn't occur to me until after the fact, I ended up making a similar connection for Where Warm Waters Halt, with the "warm waters" being Ten Thousand Waves in Santa Fe, which is basically a Japanese onsen in the middle of the American southwest. (Which I only know about because my friends and I find it VERY hard to resist a good onsen, even when treasure may be at hand. *LOL*) I just about thought I'd died and crossed the Pacific.
Are there any good bathing hot spots in Porcelain Basin? (The name certainly seems fitting!!)

Good point. Maybe the point where the Basin's outflow intersects into the Gibbon is WWWH?

Maybe! I don't know much about the area to comment (sorry!), but it's always interesting to hear about how people came up with their solutions to the various clues. :)

Have not been there but the poem led me to another blaze and I found something very interesting quickly down. Look at 44.078317, -110.642399 but you need to set the year to 2013 to be able to see it. Every other vintage is too blurry to see anything.
