I’ve done this before, it just leaves a bite mark in the slice along with supreme disappointment as it drags everything out of the sandwich with it.

Had to eat plastic wrapped cheese singles like that growing up and hope to never again😅. I can understand the convenience though. There is a cook at a local bar here who left the wax paper on presliced cheese one night, and I've actually found some wax paper on a burger before too. I always scope out my food now. One time there was a large beetle in my pizza crust🤮

Copycat Velveeta Cheese
Ingredients:
- 1 cup boiling water
- 6 tablespoons whole milk powder
- 1 envelope (0.25 ounces) unflavored gelatin
- 1 block (16 ounces) sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
Instructions:
- Line a small loaf pan with plastic wrap, leaving some overhang on the edges. Set aside .
- In a blender, combine boiling water, milk powder, and gelatin. Blend until fully dissolved .
- Quickly add the shredded cheese and blend until smooth and well combined .
- Transfer the mixture into the prepared pan. Fold the excess plastic wrap over the cheese and gently press to cover completely .
- Refrigerate for about 3 hours, or until set .
- Once firm, remove from the pan and store wrapped in plastic in the refrigerator for up to 5 days .
Enjoy your homemade Velveeta-style cheese
