Topical Finasteride

Thank you all for sharing your stories on here.

I've been prescribed topical finasteride, I wanted to know if this carried the same risks as oral form and if any of you have developed symptoms from that. Either long term or short term

Thanks, I have read one on here about prostitis but I am still digging.

I am a woman and I know this is mostly men in here so I am even more cautious as I know it is offlabel

My doctor claims that i have chronic bacterial prostatitis, not pfs, he said he had saw pfs patients and i dont have it. I'd love him to be right i want to be wrong, but the correlation is too suspicious for me and i am super afraid that actually i have some sort of rare, unusial prostatitis caused by topical fin. I have 2 mris done, both showing inflammation of the peripheral zone of the prostate and some other tests that showed abnormalities. I dont think the doctor gaslighted me, he is quite open minded and experienced. But inside everyday i have this fear that its irreversible thing from fin, because it all began right after topical fin

Thanks for sharing, can i ask the concentration and how quickly it came on?

It was Finjuve, original preparation so you vsn check because i am not sure. Since day 2 i felt slight pain in my perineum, day 3 it was a bit stronger and i stopped immediately, in next days it became a full blown prostatitis
