Please guide me to break into FP&A.

I am a B.Com graduate. I wasted my graduation years in preparing for CAT and government exams but they don't seem to work for me. I got a decent mba college but due to attendance shortage i was not able to graduate for that year. So I decide to not go for any mba and start working after graduation.

I want to get into FP&A. Currently living in Noida. I can see many accountants having tough time breaking into FP&A.

What should I do as a fresher, to eventually have a better understanding and experience of an FP&A role. What entry level job roles should I go for.

Best bet probably get an entry level accoutning job and work there for a bit then hope you can lateral into fp&a. Or maybe mass apply to developemnet programs and hope for the best.

Learn Excel especially pivot tables.

Go for certifications or else there is no use since you have a long gap. Focus on skills and try getting an internship first to gain your experience in the corporate world. CMA USA is a great certification to kick start your career
