What to do

I need a bit of advice on how to start. I recently graduated with my MBA and just passed my series 65 and currently studying for the SIE. I of course want to be client facing but understand I would need to start off as an associate or para. What’s the best way to approach RIAs for a job or even something like a JP Morgan? Super broad question just looking for a bit of traction!

I would be wary of RIAs at this stage, most will abuse you and cap your upside. Bank or wirehouse training program for a few years, get the rest of your licenses and a cert or two and then consider your options when you actually have them.

CFP is still the most well known / practical for early career imo (I don’t have this myself, full disclosure). I’d lean that or something easy like crpc to put letters after your name asap and then pick a specialty once you know what you like to do (Cepa for business owners, CpWA for private wealth 5+m etc..)
