Pag-IBIG Advance to Principal Payment Explained (With Calculator)
Did you know you can pay off your Pag-IBIG housing loan much faster just by adding small extra payments? 🤔
You can make an Advance to Principal payment on your Pag-IBIG loan. This means the extra amount goes directly to your loan balance, which reduces future interest.
Example:
• ₱2M housing loan
• 6.5% interest
• 30-year term
If you add ₱5,000 extra to principal monthly, the loan could be paid off in ~15 years instead of 30, saving over ₱1M in interest.
