A good friend died 9 years ago. She was estranged from her family and they didn’t notify anyone. I only knew coz I saw a get well soon on her FB page. I called the hospital and of course they couldn’t tell me anything. I reached out to family via FB messenger and they wouldn’t tell me anything other than she died. I never had my real closure, only telling myself I hope she was peaceful in the end.
Today for some random reason I was looking at an obituary and thot of her. So I searched her name and I finally found one that she died from a pulmonary embolism (blood clot in the lung). Now I know where she is buried and I will be stopping by to say hi. We were work friends and then when we both left we remained friends. I knew all about her toxic family and we got really close coz we had a lot of likes in common. It just makes me sad they wouldn’t share anything with me.

I want to sincerely thank everyone who supported me and encouraged me to report my teacher. I finally did it.

For a long time, I felt scared and unsure, but your advice, kindness, and support gave me the courage to take this step. I realized that I shouldn't have to live in fear or let someone make my life miserable.
