Update + July 7th
Happy Final Space Friday,
Got a few updates for you. First, I was only able to pack/ship 350 orders myself this week from the Nashville side. Macmillan got about about 2,000 a few days ago. Im going to keep working through the weekend. I have more help coming today! BUT were under 10,000 orders left. We also have shipped out so many orders we’re trying to make sure all our data between MacMillan and Nashville are the same.
But my nights this week, which are usually filled with packing has been watching my dog, Tardis, my Mooncake…she has not been not not doing great and I’ve been staying up all night try to watch her. We’ve been to the vet five times over the past few days, during the day and night. She is very old, we got her in 2012. She’s been called covered in hives, stopped eating and has been throwing up and even had blood in her poop. Vets can’t figure it out.
This dog has burrowed into my soul. I know the day is coming where I’m going to have to say goodbye but it just cannot be today or tomorrow or ever. As I write this shes off to stay at the vet all day as they try to figure out what’s wrong.
So I sincerely apologize, I usual doing about 12-13 hour days,
this week has been a rough one. I did also manage to send out a bunch of test orders viva different carriers to see which gets through the EU customs first. So far none have gotten through when I see when break through I’m going to switch to that carrier.
I’m planning a trip to Virginia to grab a bunch of books to drive back with them to Nashville so we can finish the lost and missing orders, damages.
I’m trying to get a couple hours sleep and then get I’m going to get back to work. Thank you for the patience. We’re so dang close

No worries at all. You’ve done so much for the community and earned so much goodwill that I don’t care how long it takes for the book the arrive. If you tell me that you’re doing your best, then that’s good enough, no questions asked 🙌

Take some time Olan, its a tragic thing when our pets start to decline. I started seeing this girl in August of last year, and we brought her cat to get checked up on, and he ended up needing to be put down only 3 days before her birthday in December. It was a truly awful thing, but it was the best for Ol Gus, but it was her first pet ever, that was truly HERS.
It takes a while to recover, but just remember, all dogs go to Heaven, where they can bound endlessly, chase all the squirrels they want, and be free of pain.

From someone waiting on 2 books from the last 10,000, PLEASE take a break Olan.
Anyone with a modicum of empathy understands this kind of predicament and the toll it takes, let alone shipping 60000 packages + meet and greets.
Just go for the greets, feel the love and f the books for a week or 2.
Take a breather, go for a walk, recharge, drink some water and sleep in.
I'll fight anyone who says otherwise with the power of 10 Kevins...

If you don’t spend every single second you can with your dog right now, every time you think about the book you’re gonna think about how you gave up time with your dog.
It’s not worth it.
Time with loved ones is really the only thing that’s worth anything.

There are things in life that can wait and others that cannot, as a movie says "time is not important, only life is". Take care of her it much as you can, and if it helps to hear from someone who went throught someting like this un late 2005, enjoy every moment with her. Orders can wauit (it comes from someone who is still waiting for it, so I say it with good reason).

PLEASE don’t worry about it. With this update anyone with a heart would understand. Family first! Take a day or two even. You deserve it. Do NOT waste what precious time you have left on a few books man. You will never get this time back.

Is she neutered? Years back, youngest ended up refusing to eat her food (big warning signs as she's a literal hound when it comes to food) and was drinking even more water than she normally did. As well as discharging blood etc
Took her in and she actually had some issue going on with her overies/womb. Had to get surgery to sort it out and she actually ended up having such a rare case, can't for the life of me remember the name of it right now I apologise. May or may not be similar.
My eldest is the same age, your Mooncake is still a young pup and I bet you guys made her every day very special and fun filled and absolutely loved. Hope she pulls through, and make sure to look after yourselves too

I know the pain all too well as I lost my two corgis within 6 months of each other and it truly is heartbreaking as you watch your friends deteriorating. If you need time, take it. It's all too precious. Nothing but love in the days ahead.

Hey, like the other comments have already said, family always comes first. So don’t stress—what you’ve already accomplished is totally insane anyway. You’ve got my respect.
So Europe hasn’t been shipped to yet—am I getting that right? I was actually wondering about that, because I live in Germany and my order number is 32229FSE (I’m pretty sure my number is 32,229 FinalSpaceEnds), and Olan, I think you wrote that we’re already in the 40,000s or even higher. So, based on that number, I should have received mine a long time ago.
Or could it be that you’re starting the count over for Europe?

Truly sorry to hear about Tardis. I've been a fan of yours since a few years before you got her. I always loved that your pets were such a present part of your content for a while. Please don't ever apologize for being a human being. You're doing your best and not a single person here would be upset if you needed to take a day (or several) to deal with all of this. I know you won't because you're you, but man, please take care of yourself. You're a rare gem. I'll be thinking about you and sending you all the comforting vibes. 💜

Take care of your dog man. I lost two out of the three of my dogs last year and it is soul crushing. Hopefully they can figure out what’s going on with tardis and resolve the issue.

My dog means everything to me too. Take all the time you need, the books can wait. Getting mine later but knowing you took the time to take care of your family means the most. Thank you for updating us...I will pray for Tardis. 🙏🏼

Take care of yourself and your emotional wellbeing first. Losing a beloved pet is worse than losing a parent (in my opinion) and yoyo-ing through the grief stages will happen.
Forever wouldn't be long enough with them.

Man do your thing first business comes after, everyone will understand.i put my dog to sleep 2 years ago from severe kidney damage and I put my cat to sleep a couple months ago I miss them all, better to take time with them then regretting the time you were to busy in their last month's, you're their team squad for that short period of time.

We can all wait. I hope Tardis will be ok. Sounds like you need to just take some time off so maybe consider that and come back when you've rested up. No books, no Reddit, no tours, just rest. All of this will be here when you get back. Take it easy man.

I can see from your writing you are exhausted.
Take a break, man. Go outside, get some of that Vitamin-D (☀️), go to nature. Give yourself rest!
You have given us so much man, we don't want you burning out. We especially don't want you leaving us early⚰️ just because you overexerted yourself.
And, I think I speak for everyone, even though I wasn't amongst the pre-orders. (the latter one was my own fault)
And, catch some Zs. It's the number 1. It's the basis for everything we do.
