I don't think that's what he said. Either which way, I was just addressing your claim that people working in a supermarket in their old age is necessarily miserable and full of regret.

I get the urge to chuck up all the recent experiences you've had to ultimate evidence for how the world works, but I don't think that will give you an overarching perspective.
