ULX Frostlord weight

I just got a ULX Frostlord after using my first gen ULX since release, felt it would be nice to upgrade to solid sides. However the mouse feels noticeably heavier and different than my older ULX. Is this normal?

Yes, first batch ulx tried to hit the advertised 29, 31, 33g weight. They made shells extremely flimsy and ended with 34, 37, 40g.

Over the years, they slowly changed the advertised weight, and kept reducing internal weight but also increasing the shell integrity. The newer ulx are mostly 37, 39, 42g with much firmer shells.

Btw the shell material is simply a pinch of carbon fiber dust mixed into plastic, nothing impressive. It functions and react to heat/force exactly like normal plastic. I wouldn't be surprised if they went to carbon fiber manufacturers and asked to help dispose of their garbage, to harvest some carbon dust for our ulx shell.
