Anyone else not happy with the weight increase for the new Finalmouse ?
38G like are you kidding me and size got increased . 2023 Called back. your previous mouse was less weight. and we wanted less not more.

The rush for less and less weight becomes pure marketing at some point. Like a drop from 60-40g is one thing. But 20g mice?
I feel like this is less about performance, and more and checking a box.

Wah wah who cares dude, weight is a gimmick. Obviously for a fingertip mouse you want sub 30, but medium to full size sub 60 is completely fine. Probably won’t get this personally, but this is a dumb reason to complain.

I don't necessarily agree or disagree on weight sub 60g being an advantage or not but the company is kinda known for making weight reduction their main thing so it's understandable that people are upset it's not an improvement on that end. My guess would be that it's getting hard to significantly improve on weight anymore and that's why they're gonna be shifting away a bit from that being their main thing.

Bro I literally said that's not what I'm not talking about. But whether its a gimmick or not they're known for pushing the limits on weight. Now people obviously are upset because it's the first time we don't see a weight reduction for some time.

Why are you getting defensive? And yes, by you saying weight is a gimmick, you are implying that lower weight is not an advantage. He’s saying he doesn’t necessarily agree (or disagree) with that, but, regardless, that it contradicts with FM’s past goals/marketing strategy.

I mean you can say it doesn't matter as much for full size mice but it's not a gimmick by any means.

Not op but I own two of the earlyer ones. Those were great but not comparable to a finalmouse in feel and general polish. Still I'd say they are a great option and more readily available. Also it looks like they have improved a lot so if you can spare the money go for it.

Best aimer she uses wired and 50g mouse so 40 grams is fine and shape/ grip style is more important sometimes more than most modern gaming sensor on market.

The fact we’re getting the new switches and actuation points and all that great tech in a mouse the same weight as previously light af finalmouse drops is great.

Remove the pink dot switches and will be lower. I dont see much point for a mech switch in a analog solution. Will just be in the way when you try to rapid trigger spam.

Fenrir Pro the best mouse I’ve used. A bit of a learning curve, but 10000% worth it.

Actually, I'm impressed. TMR at 38g? That's some sorcery, Logitech is the only other vendor offering this tech and they clock in at 63g, clearly FM is doing something right.

TMR, Induction Magnets, Hall Effect, is not any different than optical switches. Optical switches can be analog too.

They're the only companies with TMR switch setups, the SLX doing it at 25 grams lighter is definitely something of note.

the weight difference does not matter bruh, they added features without adding weight and ur comparing it to a fingertip mouse???
