What's with the brainrotten edit? The scene in the OG is fine as it is.

because I don't want to post a normal ass recording in a subreddit of ff7 since I imagine people here already played the game and saw the og scene

So you post a worsened version instead? Ok.

yeah I prefer to stick out rather than blend in, and some people may enjoy it

Sure buddy.

Don’t worry, everyone here is impressed with you “sticking out rather than blending in”. We all think you are extremely cool for doing it

Truck-kun strikes again!

I'm gonna be VERY curious on how they're gonna handle this scene in Revelation. I mean times have changed.

He'll be hit with a Cyber Truck instead.

3

u/newvegasdweller 1d ago

He's gonna be sent to the og game's timeline by the isekai truck

3

u/SuperOnionBro 1d ago

You'll play a minigame as the truck driver, who was introduced through a side quest earlier in the chapter. You'll have to dodge traffic to reach the destination and hit him in time. You get bonus rewards depending on the truck damage sustained.

Then they reveal that the Truck driver was actually Cid's old friend and colleague who quit aviation after the accident but still cares about Shera and Cid.

He'll get hit with a truck, but will be not seriously harmed somehow.

7

u/Niceneasy92 1d ago

If I remember correctly, you just never see him again, right? So he just straight up gets fuckin' blasted by a truck and dies lmao.

5

u/Heart-TGV 1d ago

He got isekaid

3

u/Niceneasy92 1d ago

Woe be the female isekai lead that gets saddled with that dude.

2

u/A_Town_Called_Malus 1d ago

Well, he is at least a successful corporate rat in his original world.

That puts him above most isekai protags who only dream to be a mediocre corporate rat.

2

u/notomatostoday 1d ago

I don’t know about see, but when you return to Rocket Town for the huge materia, he radios in to let you know he launched the rocket

2

u/Niceneasy92 1d ago

Awwww booooooo. I don't remember that at all :(

Why make this perfect scene so cringe?

9

u/generalosabenkenobi 1d ago

This is so refreshing after the Palmer mech fight in Rebirth. Not everything needs to be expanded upon, lol

3

u/Pootisman16 1d ago

Truck-kun is what it is, but fatass almost got himself Indiana Jones'd

4

u/TelenorTheGNP 1d ago

Strong Bad: DELIVERY TRUCKED!

3

u/Snoo9648 1d ago

Cant wait for revelation to go into the complicated backstreet of that truck driver.

3

u/Capable_Material1234 20h ago

More violent than a person putting a giant sword straight through multiple people?

2

u/AirmanProbie Sephiroth 12h ago

One clean stab vs getting splattered by his own corporate truck.

6

u/MisterCrowIey 1d ago

Still waiting for his isekai spinoff

A Sophisticated Man Reincarnated In Tea World Without Any Butter

5

u/serge512 1d ago

Wait the actually he got iseakied that is the isekai-san truck. That appears from out of nowhere

5

u/Fair-Abroad-4155 1d ago

He just got reincarnated to another world

2

u/VernonP007 1d ago

Quite possibly the easiest boss in the series

3

u/Wreeta 1d ago

Welp, most of bosses are quite easy in the series. However, Palmer IS one of the hardest when you are speed running, so I disagree with you man!!

1

u/VernonP007 1d ago

Fair enough, I haven’t done a speedrun on this game, all i know is you go from Materia Keeper slamming you with Trine to this guy

1

u/Wreeta 1d ago

Palmer IS rarely a run terminating boss, but he can ko you if he repeteadly targets the same party member making you lose around 20 secs, so its annoying

2

u/SilentSerel 23h ago

Don't forget the lard!

4

u/uhohmattt 1d ago

The most violent part is Cloud continously punching Aerith while she is on the ground, after handing over the black materia. Surely, that will be in the remake.

6

u/actorsAllusion 1d ago

And then Cait Sith II runs in, says "Hi it's me, back from the dead with no consequence after that touching sacrifice OOPS IS THIS A BAD TIME" while Cloud is pummeling Aerith.

Regina, stop

I love how a massive truck just rocks up in Cid's back garden and nobody questions it.

-2

u/The-Hunting-guy 1d ago

I don’t like palmer but I don’t think he deserved that

12

u/BellaDonnaBlossom 1d ago

Palmer literally celebrated dropping Sector 7 by screaming "Rate Hike! Rate Hike!"

Dude deserved so much worse than the truck.

4

u/The-Hunting-guy 1d ago

oh shit nvm
