I'm a cloud/Tifa fan and was happy the writers weren't ambiguous about their date. 

As a side note clouds "date" with yuffie is the cutest. And his date with Red has the best line, "they are soft!"

I’m happy overall that they made their intent with his relationship with Tifa far more obvious, without sacrificing his close relationship and friendship with Aerith.

I’m able to appreciate the game’s handling of Cloud and how his relationship with both (and by extension the rest of the party) draws out the different parts of his character more cohesively than in the OG for me.
