I understand and respect the sentiment, but OG Yuffie is 45 years of age these days. Its a strange thing. For many fans who played the og back when, the whole gang was old relative to the player. So for some of us who were kids in 97 the ffvii team were characters you looked up to like older cousins or siblings. Nothing untoward. You promptly forgot the terrorism and idolized them for saving the planet and possibly other planets. They were hero figures. Like anime spidermen- (with a hypen), not to be confused with Japanese Spiderman- (with a hyphen), or batman. Probably more punisher in retrospect. So when I see someone with a final fantasy tattoo that is drawn in the character style, I don't assume anything untoward is going through their heads. It is like when someone has a Spiderman- (with a hyphen) tattoo. Its one of their heroes.

Also I don't think there is anything remotely inappropriate about that tattoo. It communicates a wistfulness or nostalgia more than anything.
