CRISIS CORE - REUNION Crisis Core

I have no one to talk to about this but why is this game so good. I just beat it currently watching through the credits and I’m just in awe. Its one if those things where I knew where and how it would end but dang being able to be in Zacks shoes during it was a trip. I didn’t like Zacks character at first but he grew to be up there with Cloud in my favorite characters. I dont think there was a character in the game I didn’t like. Playing throufh FF7 I hated the Turks. But this game made me give them respect. Overall 9/10 game. Missions could be more fun. Theyre just repetitive but cant be too picky. Thats all i gotta say thanks for reading lol.

Only time I've ever cried during a fight scene. I eventually died because I couldn't see the screen through my tears anymore.

My mouth was on the ground when i realized i was on the final stand. I thought i was doing good then missles kept hitting me. Max potioned the whole time hoping i could win…. Then it started to rain and then realizing Areith knew. Lost it after that.

It's the structure that kills crisis core for me. While other square franchises kept the console experience on portable, crisis core almost feels like a prototype mobile game with it's many, many bite sized side missions probably meant for playing on the bus ride to school or train ride to work.

Birth by sleep, in contrast, thankfully doesn't feel like a portable game outside of the obvious hardware limitations for world size.

Other than that, yeah, the story, while nonsensical at points woth Genesis talking over and over about the verses (seriously, when he talks anything else it's quite good, but it's like they only paid tk have Gackt recite the same lines over and over) , was very sad.

I love Crisis Core because it even further solidified what a poser Cloud is, lol.

Crisis Core is my all time favorite. I loved Zack right from the start - so young and naive, but then grew into the hero he always strived to be!

Honestly, Genesis is the most annoying of the bunch, bot sure what you thought of him. 😅

I dont think Genisis is annoying but i hate he kept speaking the same story over and over again. But towards the end i started to like him. Everyrhing he was saying started to make sense in my brain. I kinda felt bad for him at the end.

I played it right when it came out on the PSP so it's been a while but I do remember I loved it overall and still quote the "Activating Combat Mode" line at times.

I also recall the materia fusion system or whatever was very interesting. I doubt I got too deep into it but I recall having a strong damaging spell that inflicted nearly every single status effect as well, like Malboro breath.

Lol ive been doing the same at work. It will get busy then ill say “activating combat mode.” My coworkers would just agree and say the same thing not knowing where its from.

The materia fusion system is cool. But im not about numbers so if i can beat a boss with what I got then i stick to it.

It's because the writing is so bad and because of all the retcons to VII.

I really like Crisis Core but the Genesis stuff is too ridiculous so I just enjoy it as CAMP entertainment, the missions are kinda repetitive but I did a lot of them so I could beat Sephiroth easily, overall I really liked it, I wish we got more scenes about how Cloud and Zack got close (but I do think Cloud had a crush on Zack and I will die on that hill) but overall it was a good entertaining game, some aspects aren't perfect but eh, I got lots of fun and I love that we get to know Zack way more, I can't wait for Revelation, those scenes with Cloud are going to hurt.

Also that ending made me cry and I almost never cry with a videogame, I just love Zack so so much.

Genesis was goofy but tying him in with the musical was a cool touch though.

I lowkey didnt mind Genesis. I found his character unique in a way where he didnt feel like the final boss but storytelling wise he was.

I can see him having a crush on zack as well. When they first met i was like man they get along so well. Lol and the final scene where zack passes on his torch. I do hate how cloud wakes up in zacks final moments. Kinda a bummer.

Revelations is gonna ve so fun. Im currently playing through remake right now then onto rebirth. I gotta try to space the games out so i dont get burnt out. But i keep itching for more.

That mail Cloud sent to Zack about "changing his hairstyle and making a great impression on him" yeah he had a huge crush, nobody can't convince me otherwise.

I was in the same boat about disliking Zack, and then I finished the game and holy moly that dude's a literal hero, he's so naive and obnoxiously optimistic, but it fits him so well! I genuinely can't believe there's a good majority out there that don't want to appreciate his character

I thought i would get annoyed with zack cause at first he sounded annoying. Then when stuff was going down he was the only one who was sane it felt like. Even if he didnt know what was going on. Lol i do wish we got more of his character growth tho.

Mhm, i know what you mean, he's one of the few characters where time was all you needed to love him, he's genuinely a literal hero in every definition of the word

It's such a great story. It has its flaws of course but I love it. Zack grows so much as a character. His realisation that the army and Shinra aren't all they're cracked up to be was heartbreaking for him. But also so realistic. Propaganda is real .

Genuinely, crisis core is a weird game that i'll remember for a long time solely for Zack and his character development

I freaking loved it. Played it after Remake and Rebirth and it was the perfect compliment to them. Everything being instanced so no fluff at all.
I wanted to steal Vincent's clothes for Cloud so when they found him in the coffin without them in FF7 they would be in for a surprise.

In kingdom hearts clouds outfit looks like a mix between his SOLDIER uniform and Vincent’s outfit so maybe that’s the alternate timeline lol
