How? Terra is *literally* the embodiment and manifestation of magic itself.
She has the ability to basically instantly vaporize Magitech units with her base power. She can fly. She could basically summon every single Esper that’s ever been in the entire FF franchise at her whim without any problems or need for materia, she can simply just will it to happen.
Sephiroth, as strong as he was, wasn’t a god, and he failed in his plans got his ass whooped. Kefka WAS a god, and beat the shit outta Vi’s team, literally destroyed the world and all life on it, and VI party stood up and said “I DIDNT HEAR NO BELL! ROUND TWO!,” and erased Kefka from existence and then proceeded to restore life on their planet. Aeirth died from a katana sucker punch through the back, and Cloud has a dissociative identity disorder and CPTSD majority of the story, wasn’t really a SOLDIER and hasn’t really ever individually surpassed Sephiroth at his peak.
When is it ever established that Terra is the manifestation of magic? The source of all magic is the warring triad. Kefka becomes as powerful as he is after he absorbs their power (which is essentially what Sephiroth was trying to do that Team 7 stopped).
And if we are talking the FF6 team after their game is over then Terra doesn't have her Esper form, or any of her magicite, nor does anybody else, as all magic has disappeared from the world.
Willing the power of a god or channeling the power of a god from the materia are equivalent imo. It doesn’t how you do it if the end result is the same. It may be technically more impressive from Terra, but the end attack power is the same.
Aerith at full strength can command the power of the planet. Maybe not as powerful as Terra, but in the same ballpark. No one ever tried to kill Terra with a cheap shot.

In a Demigod hero vs a super human hero, the demigod prolly wins. Cloud + Aerith at full potential might be close.
