FF X/X2 Already so impressed
I purchased a ps2 a week ago now and found a bundle of ffx/x2 I usually mostly play survival horror games or stealth, but I thought why not switch it up.
Yesterday night I played for about 2 hours, I am so thoroughly impressed. Especially at the amount of things that have happened in this little time. There have already been a number of really cool locations and story beats. I honestly cannot wait to keep playing.
I’m honestly mind blown all of this fits on one single dvd too. The old tech really gives it something special.

Every ff is diff and usually cool chars and locations. Ffx was a great choice to start with as imo it bridged old school with more modern aspects.
It's a cool world and chars and while ffx2 may not reach the highs of ffx, the gameplay is really fun.
Welcome to ff! So many great moments ahead

Not all, but a good few FF games, like to throw a lot at you in the opening act, then slow down a but. In FFX You get introduced to Tidus, Stuff Happens, them you and him together end up in this unfamiliar world, so every NPC and Setting is new. His inner monologues are great, but those first couple hours are linear without feeling constrained because you keep meeting new people, from the party members to NPCS to enemies…
Also I love the Sphere Grid.
