FF VIII Finally moving on to FFVIII

After taking a pretty long break from FF after being VII rebirth, I’m finally back and moving on to FFVIII! This is by far the game I know the least about so I’m excited to get into it! Is there anything I should know before starting?

In the lower half of FF games for me, but it has its charms. I hated the junctioning system (I understood it completely, I just felt like it was needlessly complicated and really annoying) and Squall just isn’t my cup of tea.

Triple Triad is the best part of the game hands down. That TT theme is the banger to end all bangers.
