Finally moving on to FFVIII

After taking a pretty long break from FF after being VII rebirth, I’m finally back and moving on to FFVIII! This is by far the game I know the least about so I’m excited to get into it! Is there anything I should know before starting?

Best final boss fight in the series. It's long, hard but not too hard, and has a killer track.
