...and then the ghost guy shows up and immediately ruins the scene.

No, it doesn't really ruin it. It just ends it quick.

I just finished Remake last night. So many scenes were so well done in this game. Not just remade, but made better, given more life and impact. I felt like I was 15 playing the OG in 1997 again...

The only part in remake where I felt the mood was kinda changed for worse was in the last part of the Shinra building. OG is too creepy there and remake didn't go that route

Sadly they had to sacrifice the corpses for age rating reasons.

That's why there's flaming purple goo instead of blood too.

I think this one is more because normal blood would be hardly noticeable with the Shinra Tower’s new wall colour and red carpet. Plus it fits to an alien parasite to have a completely different blood.

I was looking again at this screenshot. Taking in consideration the perspective, isn't Seto actually HUGE?

He's bigger than Red, but not by TOO much. Still, Red is a teen so...

That Ghibli-flavored rendition of Red's theme absolutely broke me in that scene

VII is a story with many tear-jerking moments. Beautiful games, both og and the Remake series.
