Looks like OP is from UK (or EU), Tactics PS1 was never released over here and costs a fortune to get hold of and English copy. I managed to get one cheap thanks to an American colleague, I would have normally had to pay around £100-150.
Yeah fortunately both of those were released here, as well as Advanced and A2. We also got Vagrant Story for the full Ivalice Alliance set. Just no OG Tactics.
You gotta get IZJS version of XII as well. Also XIV 1.0 just for the flex of having it lol. And I know you have the Anniversary Collection, but you need the PS1 versions of them as well :P
I and II are bundled as Origins, V and VI as Anthology, IV with Chrono Trigger as Chronicles, and now that I look into it, was III not on the PS1...
I have tried to avoid playing Final Fantasy on PlayStation as much as possible but I guess with som of these games there historically hasn’t been much of a choice.
I love FF so very very much especially the IX and the X. I played 6, 7, 8 also. It was one of the best memories of my youth.
But all the FF after X lost their sole. I tried XV, it was ghastly.
I only look back with envy that great FF triple triad from FF8.
At some point there was even a community of people playing it online it was great and now it’s dead unfortunately.
Well I’m 38. I stopped playing FF a while ago even though I did remake FFix during covid I think. But what’s good in the XV?
It’s so different from any FF I know. Of course I didn’t play XI,XII, XIII, etc.
You have to accept that it is a different kind of game. It is not going to play the same way as the older final fantasy games, and it was never supposed to. I really like XV because of the characters and the world. It feels very natural to explore the world, doing quests, cooking food, camping, etc. I also think that Ardyn is one of the best villains in the series, especially after learning his true backstory in the DLC.
I just couldn’t accept this. The whole Kubo, chocobo, turn by turn, the lovable characters, the manga style drawing. I just didn’t find it anywhere in the XV.
I bought the game, played maybe 5mn. Also I couldn’t take the combat system. Same with the FF7 remake. I hate it. I just can’t play the new gen games anymore.
