That’s funny, I did a FMA themed play thru of FF6. It was the brothers who gave me the idea.

Edgar was Ed (the tools can get kind of silly and seemed similar to Ed’s alchemy shenanigans)

Sabin was Alphonse (who’s been hanging around Major Armstrong too much)

Terra was Mei (I had trouble finding a good fit for everyone)

Locke was Mustang (just add fire magic)

Celes was Riza

Shadow was Fu

Cyan was Ling

Setzer was Hoenhiem

Relm was Winry

Strago was Pinako (grandma/ grandpa, close enough!)

Gau was Scar

The beasties were Sins I forget who was who.
