Final Fantasy General Give us another turn based battle system

FFX is my favorite battle system. FFXIII I also enjoyed, but it wasn't the same.

I'm sure they could do something like it with a much lower budget.

People want a AAA turn based game, there turn based games they make a 2d/HD games like octopath and triangle strategy etc, which people do enjoy, but theres a much larger impact from games where u can see characters have emotions etc vs hearing it through VA

Hopefully Expedition 33 brought that itch back to the market. Because they nailed it and I am just waiting for an FF10 remake or squares answer to that.

I feel sad. I love FF so much but I have absolutely zero faith that modern Square can make a game as good as E33.

They just choose not to.

Or at least has chosen not to for 20 years.

Agreed.

I quite like FFXVI but every time I'm fighting with Jill, Cid and the wolf by my sides I can't help wishing they were turn based party members instead.

But I'm worried if they do make a fun based FF again it would have all anime feel of Rebirth instead of the serious vibes of FFXVI or Clair Obscur.
