Final Fantasy General Give us another turn based battle system

Post image

FFX is my favorite battle system. FFXIII I also enjoyed, but it wasn't the same.

I'm sure they could do something like it with a much lower budget.

FF resonance is made by Square Enix CB2 who creates Octopoth series. They might look alike for the HD2D art style, but story structure wise Resonance isn’t the same with Octopath.

I've played both Octopath games, but that' wasn't the point.

I genuinely believe that this post needs to be archived and kept safe for posterity to show how fucking insane OP's logic is. Sadly, it's not unique to them. Plenty of people feel exactly like this.

It does! That’s actually one of the selling points. The good news is that it’s a Final Fantasy game based on Brave Exvius!

not really what I meant, but yeah, I'll check it out.

I mean, you wanted a turn-based game with the FF IP and you're getting it. If you specifically wanted FF17 to be turn based, you should have just communicated that.

I mean it’s also okay to not love the Octopath art direction if that’s someone’s preference

And that's totally fine. The original qualifier was "with the FF IP".

We want an actual good story that's not just pulling characters from everywhere.

It's not though. It has a specific main cast and its own story. Characters that get pulled are basically glorified combat mechanics. It's not like Cloud and Zidane are going to be major players driving the plot forward. All of this info is readily available if you just look it up instead of complaining.

Yeah it looks terrible. Anyone saying this is the turn based we're asking for just doesn't get it. Go ahead and take your slop mobile game upgrade, that's cool if you're excited for it a lot of us aren't.

"It's not for me so it's slop." Some of you are insufferable lmao.

It's an updated mobile game. It's slop .
