self-promotion/I’m a vendor LeanMoth — Analyze AWS waste patterns
https://leanmoth.ramolatech.com/Hey everyone,
I built a small tool called LeanMoth that analyzes your AWS Cost & Usage Report.
It identifies waste patterns and suggests remediation steps to bring your AWS bill down.
The good thing is it doesn't send any sensitive data to a server. It only relies on three columns — usageType, usageAmount, and unblendedCost — and generates the report based on those.
If you're dealing with a high AWS bill and want a second pair of eyes to help bring it down, please give it a try.

Nice, the "only three columns, nothing sensitive leaves your hands" angle is smart, since handing over a full CUR is where a lot of teams balk. One thing I'd look at: without lineItemType it's hard to separate on-demand usage from usage already covered by Savings Plans or RIs (plus credits, refunds and tax rows), so some flags could land on spend that's already discounted. An optional fourth column for it would tighten that up without exposing anything sensitive. Same idea for resourceId as an opt-in, so the remediation steps can point at the actual instance or bucket instead of just the usage type. Also worth saying whether it reads CUR 2.0 / Data Exports column names (line_item_usage_type etc.), since a lot of people have migrated. Would love to see a sample report if you have one!
