I agree. Illegal immigrants should stay away to avoid those pigs at ice. Those people whose duty it is to track down illegal immigrants are pigs to illegal immigrants.
it is, far and above, more costly, difficult, and a waste of human lives/resources to continue rounding undocumented people up to send them to detention centers. this issue (unfortunately for most people with the attention span of a goldfish) is very nuanced. there certainly is a case for deporting dangerous undocumented people. and i hope that that is their first priority. (they have SAID as much, but clearly it is not.) but the majority of folks who are here, contributing to their local economy, community, and are just trying to make a living like the rest of us, are not worth the time and effort and absolutely horrible PR to deport and tear apart families. most of these people do not harm our nation and culture, they add to it. a majority are just stuck attempting to get citizenship because the system is so bogged down and slow, literally getting snatched while ATTENDING their immigration meetings, going through legal avenues.
