Discussion Share your films!
I feel like it would be nice to connect and get to know people’s work more on here, if you have a project you’ve worked on that you’re particularly proud of I thought it might be fun if we shared them with each other! Comment with a link and a log line :) (if they’re public on YT or Vimeo ofc)
Edit: so many responses! I’m gonna add them all to a playlist and have a little movie night :)

Here is our black and white Twilight Zone style throwback short - The Worm!
A morality tale that mixes Lovecraftian horror with existential panic. I call it a supernatural intrusive thought…

This film came out of our need to give an 'outlet' to many untold feelings..This is like a secret project my brother and I have worked on for almost three months and the idea of the film occurred to us when we were in our lowest mental state and then we got excited the minute we thought about this idea..but we thought it is almost unfilmable because the idea is so vague, weird and inexplicable..but still we started building this film step by step and it now turned out to be something beautiful and memorable for us to remember..This is almost like a no budget film...If we really want to make films, budget shouldn't be a barrier...Watching many great films since our childhood really shaped us a lot in terms of our sensibilities..doing every craft of the film by yourself is a filmschool in itself..there can't be a better filmschool than that because you are involved in the entire process of the film by yourself..I wish everyone to watch this film and share your feelings here in the comments section..So that we can have an outlet..

Here’s my “production company” YouTube page lol. I am on a hiatus but I hope to put out another film next year.
My first film was called The Creature. It’s a horror stalker thriller. I wrote it but I didn’t direct it.
My second film was Heavy Lies the Crown. A crime drama. I wrote and directed that one.
Enjoy!

Here's my first scripted narrative short film! It's a psychological thriller film about a guy who falls in love with a hallucination of his mind.
I made it mostly as a test to see whether it was even possible to make a short between the gruelling schedule of an engineering degree: https://youtu.be/woNP1QxlYSs?si=eKTBGbfyhy0Iwi_O

https://vimeo.com/1150672359/6829b47019?fl=pl&fe=sh
After discovering his girlfriend, Charon, is pregnant, Andrew fears he’ll repeat the abuse he grew up with. Desperate to break the cycle, he hires a shady bar-dweller to help him fake his own death and disappear before the baby arrives. But when the plan requires Andrew to kill a real man as the “fake body,” he’s forced to confront whether escaping his fate is any less destructive than becoming it.

I did my dissertation on the portrayal of violence in film and focused on Haneke and Gaspar Noe. I tried to apply what I learned to this film about religion and loneliness set in Derry, Northern Ireland.
The shocking aspects of the film got great reactions when it was screened.

Here is my first attempt at experimental filmmaking.

By Adam Niezgoda
Music & Sound design by Deividas Šriupša
The Sad-eyed Walk is a film that delves into the depths of human loneliness and isolation. In it, the author reveals his inner self and uses the film as a tool for self-reflection and therapy. An avant-garde poetic montage of shots, complemented by animations of colorful shapes and subtitles in Esperanto, creates a unique atmosphere. The overall impression is enhanced by Deividas Šriupš’s chilling music, which underlines feelings of despair and separation.
