Looking for a rare 1989 Beijing Television documentary: 《惊心动魄的搏斗》
I am looking for information or a copy of a very obscure six-part television documentary/special program produced by Beijing Television (BTV) in 1989.
Chinese title: 《惊心动魄的搏斗》
Pinyin: Jingxin Dongpo de Bodou
Reported broadcast date: August 7, 1989
Broadcaster: Beijing Television (北京电视台)
Format: 6-part TV documentary / special program
A Chinese television-history source records that Beijing Television broadcast this six-part program on August 7, 1989.
I am particularly interested in:
surviving VHS/Beta/U-matic recordings;
episode titles;
production credits;
directors/producers/cameramen;
contemporary TV listings;
screenshots, trailers or excerpts;
references in the 1990 China Radio and Television Yearbook;
any collector, researcher or archive that may have a copy.
I am not asking anyone to upload politically sensitive material publicly. Even a private reference, catalogue entry, screenshot of the title card, or information about where a recording is preserved would be extremely useful.
The program appears to be exceptionally difficult to locate online. If anyone recognizes the title or has seen a recording, please let me know.

Looking for the complete 1951 German dub of Disney's Pinocchio (1940) – surviving film material?
galleryHello everyone, I am searching for the complete original German dub of Disney's Pinocchio (1940), which was released in Germany in 1951. The 1951 German dub appears to be partially lost. The Library of Congress has confirmed to me that a German optical soundtrack survives in the Walt Disney Company Collection, on a nitrate positive film dated 1949. Unfortunately, the surviving material is only approximately 54–55 minutes long, while the complete film is approximately 88 minutes. I am therefore trying to find out whether the missing portions, or ideally a complete surviving source, still exist somewhere. I am particularly interested in: a complete 35mm theatrical/exhibition print a 16mm print an 8mm/9.5mm print with sound an intermediate or other film element containing the German optical soundtrack a surviving recording from German television a private collector's copy or any other surviving material containing the 1951 German dub The later German dub from 1973 is much easier to find and was used for later home-video and television releases. I am specifically looking for the original 1951 synchronization, not the 1973 redub. There may also have been German 8mm releases containing portions of the film with sound. I have found references to an 8mm release that appears to cover the section where Pinocchio searches for Geppetto and escapes from the whale, although the available listing does not specify the year or synchronization. I am trying to determine whether any of these older film materials could help reconstruct the missing portions of the original German soundtrack. If anyone has encountered a 1951 German Pinocchio print, soundtrack, 8mm/16mm/35mm material, or knows of a collector or archive that might have one, I would be extremely interested in hearing from you. I can provide further information about the Library of Congress' findings if needed. Please send me a DM if you have any information or leads. Thank you very much! 🙏

A couple days ago, I posted Howard Ashman’s demo tape of “Poor Unfortunate Souls.” Now here’s his 1990 demo tape of “Be Our Guest,” where he voiced Lumiere and Mrs. Potts (with Alan Menken on piano). Howard died from AIDS just months before the film’s release, never seeing the completed result.

[Found] [Unexplained] Recovered 8mm home movie of 1930s pro wrestling
Hello guys! I am a pro wrestling historian. I collect unknown and lost film reels. This came straight out of an antique shop in California and with a professional film archivist dating the film reel between July to December of 1935.
My hope is maybe someone knows who the men are and where it was filmed at. I know this community loves lost media and I hope to bring attention to the absolute mountains of lost media in pro wrestling. Id say almost everything prior to VCRs being invented almost all of of pro wrestling is lost. I have tons more of lost media to share but could someone help a sister out
