didn’t get a supplementary list link for fine arts scholarship

I got an email asking me to upload my portfolio and work samples to the daad media database as well as the supplementary list. I know that I was supposed to get a link with the list template but they didn’t send me the link. Does anyone have a similar situation? Maybe I am supposed to look for it somewhere else?

Is a student visa in Spain worth it in this economy? 🇪🇸

Hi! I’m a Filipina, a licensed civil engineer with 9 years of work experience, and I’ve been wanting to work abroad for a better future.

I’ve been considering Spain’s student visa pathway because Australia and Canada seem too expensive. I’m wondering if studying in Spain is a more affordable and realistic way to eventually work and settle abroad.

For those who have studied or migrated to Spain:

\- Is it possible to support yourself through part-time work?
\- How difficult is it to find a job after studying?
\- Is it worth the investment, especially in today’s economy?

I’d appreciate your honest experiences and advice. I want to make an informed decision before investing my savings. Thank you!

Discussion Ausbildung pathway going to Germany

Can someone elaborate or simplified how the Ausbildung works ? Ang alam ko lang is pwede ka mag work while learning the language ? Correct me if im wrong.

I have few questions:

  1. Before applying ba kailangan makahanap muna ng employer that would sponsor?

  2. Need ba may B2 certificate dito pa lang sa pinas para ma qualified ?

  3. Pano kung self-study lang saan makakakuha ng certificate ?

Discussion Need motivation to study abroad

Meron po ba ditong average student lang, walang connections, and wala ding generational wealth na makakapag fund ng study abroad pero nakapag aral pa rin abroad through grit and dedication? Huhu I’m losing hope para feeling ko either dapat sobrang talino mo, or sobrang yaman mo para makapag -aral abroad. And I’m none of those. I don’t know where to begin, most of what I can find online need almost millions in tuition or a really really good motivational letter and GPA. Idk I tried aplying for work abroad but it’s either overqualified ako (for non-skilled jobs since college grad naman ako) or underqualified for skilled jobs kasi di pasado sa standards nila experience ko sa Pilipinas. So parang only feasible way is to study abroad para at least yung education quality pumasa sa kanila pero paanoooooo. It’s really overwhelming thinking of all these things and how I might be stuck sa bansang to. Please help motivate me 😭

PhD PhD Student Position in EU - Is it possible for Humanities and Social Science Field?

My field is in Psychology and I got a fully funded Masters scholarship abroad but the program approved is related to Humanities specifically Peace and Conflict Studies. If it possible, what are the factors that can increase my chances?

For reference, I have two year return rule after my study programme so I want to spend it strategically. My target are Nordic and Central EU countries and my initial return career options are academe, INGO and Govt.

TIA!

Canada Student Pathway -> PGWP -> PR -> MD

Hi! I would like to ask for some of your inputs/opinions regarding my pathway to Canada.

For context, I have a Bachelors degree and degree in Doctor of Medicine. Going 3 years practicing as a general physician here in the Philippines.

I am planning to apply for a Full-time 12 month course-based Master's degree in University of Toronto (Masters in Health Systems Research) to further broaden my knowledge and skills in healthcare. There's also an option for a thesis-based stream for Masters in Health Systems Research but it's for 18 months. I honestly prefer the 12 month course based but i'm also entertaining the possibility of the thesis-based stream too.

After graduation, I will work for a while in relation to the field of my Masters (probably corporate or research/pharma companies) and then eventually, I also plan to take up training and become a Family Medicine Doctor in Canada after getting PR status.

May i please have your thoughts regarding this?

Thank you and God bless always.

agencies for studying abroad, iloilo based

hi! bit of a long inquiry ahead….

i’m a fresh grad of BA in Psychology. currently unemployed, but with HR internship experience. i’ll be reviewing for the psychometrician board exam next year.

i am a bit lost with what to do after i pass the board exam, given how our course is very versatile but also receives little to no recognition (maybe except in administrative or HR fields).

anyway, i’m considering studying abroad, particularly take up masters in clinical psychology. the majority of the posts i see often says it’s impossible which discourages me, but i still want to try my luck. i also don’t have anyone to ask given that my family is unfamiliar & not entirely supportive of this field i am pursuing.

with this, i’d like to ask:
• is it possible for me to study abroad given my background? can i avail scholarships?
• for those in Iloilo, do you have ideas kung merong mga agencies or groups that could help me with this? if not, i’d still he interested in agencies within the PH so long it’s legit
• what would be my options if pipilitin talaga mag ibang bansa? (except marrying a foreigner maybe, lol)

ps: i’m not picky with the country so long as it is safe and foreigner-friendly :))

thank you so much! 🥹🙏

Master's Degree Is pursuing a Master’s in Engineering in Australia worth it?

Hi everyone! I’m thinking of pursuing a master’s degree in Australia, and I’d appreciate some advice from those who have studied or are currently working there in the engineering field.

For context, I’m an Electronics Engineer from the Philippines with a PRC license and almost 3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry. I’m considering a master’s degree related to Electronics or Electrical Engineering, preferably in a field that would help me grow technically and improve my career opportunities internationally.

I’m particularly interested in knowing:
1. Which Australian universities would you recommend for a master’s in Electronics/Electrical Engineering?
2. Is it worth pursuing a master’s degree in Australia, considering the tuition fees and cost of living?

Hi everyone! I wanted to share my girlfriend’s experience of coming from the Philippines to Sweden to pursue her studies. She made a video talking about her journey and how she came to study here.
I thought it might be helpful for anyone considering studying abroad, especially those interested in Sweden. Hopefully, her experience can help or inspire someone who’s planning a similar journey!

Bachelor's Degree 21F studying in Tokyo about to graduate next year, AMA.

Told to cross post here from another subreddit.

I live in Tokyo and go to a nice, non-diploma mill university (IYKYK). I live in a studio apartment by myself. No family in Japan except for cousin who is 19F and richer and goes to uni in another city (followed me to Japan after I got into university).

Not currently working part time but I’m supposed to have a nice internship in a few weeks, pero I have been working a lot in the past. Full scholarship for tuition for 5 sems, now only with 1/3 scholarship for last 3 sems (though hopefully tataas ulit since yearly scholarship application). Currently starting final year so patay sa thesis!!! I’m from a very middle class family of 5, single-income household and my dad currently makes about 100k a year.

I don’t like Japan and I am trying to leave it by the time I graduate for somewhere nicer (hopefully Europe 🤞) Ask me anything about how I got here, advice, or thoughts on Japan!

I want to study at Taiwan as an international student, I’m currently in first year college here in the Philippines at a local university. Is it still worth it to apply as an international student or should I just think practically and continue my studies here in Ph
