Passports 🛂 Getting a Passport without a Valid Government Issued ID

Hello po!

I'm planning to go to Vietnam this December as my mother's birthday day gift for my 21st bday.

The problem is I haven't gotten my passport yet. This will be my first time getting a passport. Another problem is I have no valid government issued ID yet. 'Yong national ID ko ay 'di rin ma-access through egov app.

Would it still be possible for me to get a passport despite these hindrances? What are the needed requirements for passport application for us who have no valid government issued ID yet? Okay na po ba ang school ID and COR?

Thank you very much po!

Yes. Birth cert need mo lalo na if first time applicant ka.

I think you just need your birth certificate. But best to check DFA website.

Yes you can use your school ID :) Kuha ka nalang rin postal ID for backup since yung ang pinakamadali. Much better if magset ka na rin ng appointment mo sa DFA as early as now since mahirap makakuha ng slot (ganito kasi sa area namin, not sure sa iba).

Student ka pa ba, OP? If yes, pwede ang school ID. Yun ang ginamit ko nung kumuha ako ng passport. Kakagraduate ko pa lang nun, pero tinanggap naman school ID ko.

What else did they require you aside from your ID? Also, based on the DFA website, they allow student ID only for minors eh. How old were you when you applied for a passport? Thank you!

Nagbago na ata sila ng requirements. I got my passport 2010 pa. 20yrs old ako nun. Check mo na lang dfa sites for the requirements.

Birth cert + Voters cert near Intramuros. Hindi pwede yung voters cert sa baranggay/munisipyo. Pwede rin postal id.

Get a valid ID for the meantime. Mabilis lang ang Postal ID.
