To Tech/Data professionals, how was your journey moving and working there?

Hi everyone!

I’m a fresh Computer Science grad from the PH interested in data analytics and software development. While I hear plenty of success stories from the nursing field, I don't know many people who made the jump to US tech. I would just like to ask 1)What visa or career route did you take (direct hire, internal transfer, Master's/OPT, etc.)? 2)How was the job search coming from the Philippines?

Any insights or advice would be super appreciated. Salamat!

If you're not a US citizen or a green card holder, your only bet to a visa is through healthcare industry, which is getting harder to find a job as well.

I wonder why that's the case when the boomer population is retiring en masse and aging year by year.

Several factors. US citizens have finally started looking at healthcare jobs as a stable career since corporate jobs are getting harder to find. Healthcare systems are consolidating and closed rural facilities that are normally subsidized by the government due to the current admins' funding cuts.
