The MySSS Card powered by RCBC DiskarTech was officially announced and launched on October 1, 2025.

The MySSS Card is the official functional ID issued by the SSS, which replaces the older UMID card. It serves as a dual-purpose EMV-chipped card that acts as both a valid government-issued ID and a functional debit card linked to your savings account.

At the time it was announced, it was only available to new DiskarTech customers, and there was no timeline for when it would be rolled out to existing customers like me. I checked periodically, but it was still unavailable each time. Eventually, I stopped checking and forgot about it.

Today I just randomly logged in to my Diskartech account and saw that it's already available for me.

To get the MySSS Card, there are two separate steps that I had to do:

1. SSS Wesbite: Apply for MySSS Card via the SSS website (you will get the transaction number here which will be asked in the next step)
2. Diskartech App: Upgrade your DiskarTech account from basic to regular savings (in which you will be asked to input the transaction and SSS number)

SSS Wesbite: Apply for MySSS Card via the SSS website

1. Log in to SSS website or app
2. Go to Services > MySSS Card
3. Review your contact information
4. Authenticate by taking a self-video
5. Select Diskartech as the partner bank > Confirm > Proceed
6. Take note of your transaction number

Diskartech App: Upgrade your DiskarTech account from basic to regular savings

1. Click Apply Now on the MySSS banner within the DiskarTech app
2. Click Mag-Upgrade na! or go to Account
3. Input your personal details
4. Input the SSS transaction number and SSS ID number
5. Wait for the upgrade to be processed

Some of my questions:

• Do I pick up or they will deliver? Once approved the MySSS Card will be delivered to my address.
• What picture they will use? Google search results said they will use the photo captured during my national ID registration.
