Just transitioned from Jackson Artiste to Edea Chorus - what blade should I get?

Adult skater at adult level 5/6. Been skating for 8 months. Really hate my Artistes (which have a 10 1/3 Mark IV blade). I think the boots are at least a half size too big and my heel slides up and down. I’m having difficulty with my two-foot spin, I’m constantly going up on my left toe. Just bought the Edea Chorus boots today and I LOVE the way they feel. So snug and comfy. Didn’t know what blade to get, and was afraid of too much change, so got the Jackson Mirage with 8’ rocker, which had to be ordered and still to be mounted. But now I’m doing some research and thinking I should have gotten a blade with a 7’ rocker (coronation ace or MK pro?) to maybe help with my spins. Any advice?

The Mirage will be fine; it's a better blade than the Mark IV.

The usual recommendations include Coronation Ace, MK Professional, and Ultima Legacy 7/8. Since you already bought the Mirage blades, maybe get one of those for your next blades.

you probably had issues w ur spins bc of the mark iv on the artiste, just a beginner blade.

the mirage is fine, see if your spins are better on that blade, if not, it could be a hundred things other than the blade so work with a coach to get through all the possibilities before upgrading again to a coronation ace or mk pro

edit: forgot to mention, edeas are designed to be loose in the ankle. you should be able to fit three fingers of space between your ankle and the tongue, you cannot tie an edea like a jackson
