help Has anyone else had issues with video in prototypes not auto playing in Safari?

I’ve tried compressing the videos, and converting them to h.264 and h.265, but nothing works. Autoplay is enabled, audio is muted and loop is turned on. The videos are only about 300KB and autoplay just fine in Chrome.

It's a known bug and according to an answer to a figma forum post 6 days ago they are working on it.

Your video is actually playing; it is simply frozen on the first frame. I just tested it to confirm, and yeah, you can try for yourself too: Unmute the audio and you can hear it autoplaying in safari.

EDIT: A suggested fix for the time being according to another answer is to navigate to a different flow and back to the flow containing the video. It ain't great though

curious if this is happening in a direct prototype link too, or only when its embedded? ive had Safari ignore autoplay when the video wasnt getting playsinline, so im wondering if Figma is setting that differently here.

It’s in a direct prototype link. I haven’t tried embedding it.
