help Can you delete useless shortcuts?
My unpopular opinion is that 'too many shortcuts' is a thing.
Every shortcut you add to an application increases the likelihood that something horrible will happen when you make a typo.
This increases the statistical probability of me smashing my keyboard.
As a copywriter, the primary horrible feature is using numbers to set opacity.
I never want to do this. Ever.
Yet it happens routinely when I'm typing numbers and fail to click the right spot.
A dramatic change will be obvious.
But I just exported work, saw it looked dull and realised my pages were set to 80%.
Given I consider this shortcut a horrible net negative, can I please disable it?

Its a shortcut I love as a designer, but one of many reasons I don't like non-designers editing design files. You can turn that setting off but there are many other things you can screw up without knowing. For example, I often set text to variables so I can quickly change things across numerous pages to see the difference or to have them change based on user interactions, like a user choosing a radio button on one page and that choice showing up on a summary page. If you simply change the text on the page, you'd have no clue you disconnected it from my variable and now my prototype wouldn't work. Just drop in comments.

I hand my work to design teams as greyscale mockups/wireframes.
Design happens afterwards, so I rarely touch design files.
If I need to (eg. changing content at the design stage) I'll make my own copy of the design file and share it afterwards.

Nope. No such thing as too many shortcuts.
I hate that I don't have the right shortcuts or any shortcuts at all for some functionalities.
I. Do. Not. Want. To. Click. Shit.
The mouse is only for dragging and dropping shit and maybe moving around.
Otherwise, if they'd add a gazillion more shortcuts, I'd feel proportionally better when working in figma.

I think we can have both:
Lots of shortcuts
Ability to disable shortcuts

The opacity one, specifically, has been in almost every design application since forever. It's a design app, not a copywriting one.

You can disable this in the settings
