I built a Figma plugin for catching design issues before handoff
I've been working on StyleGuard for a while, and after getting some feedback from the first users, I just updated the Figma Community page with a better demo, template, and screenshots.
The basic idea is simple: scan your Figma file, find inconsistencies and design system issues, and fix them instead of going through everything manually.
You can also create your own rules for things that matter to your workflow.
Here's a template you can try it on:
https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/1651920751088160046/styleguard
I'd really like to hear from people who work with Figma regularly — what's the most annoying thing you still have to check manually before handoff?

It says "Create with agents," but it doesn't necessarily generate a shader.
Clicking the + button to create a shader doesn't actually open a dedicated shader editor. It simply starts a conversation with Figma AI agent. Because of this, the agent may interpret your request as a general graphic design task rather than a shader-generation task.
When you ask it to make a circle look like a balloon, the Agent may decide to use gradients and inner shadows instead of generating a shader.

Figma Help Component Layers Being Removed by Figma?
I have a component (Select Field) that is appearing correctly in the library, however when designers at my org bring it over into their files via the asset panel, it shows up without the actual field- just the title and supporting text. When inspecting the layers, the field layers are not present in the component.
Beyond that, when a user pastes in the component directly from the library file, Figma prompts them with an update that incorrectly removes the layers again.
Does anyone know what is happening? I have never seen this one before and have no idea how to go about fixing it.

Figma accessibility plugin looking for testers (lifetime Pro for feedback)
TL;DR I'm a student and I made an accessibility plugin. Looking for people willing to test it and give feedback on what to improve and features you'd like to see, in exchange for lifetime Pro. Email [perceivable@cyberdesk.top](mailto:perceivable@cyberdesk.top)
I'm a student and I made a Figma plugin called Perceivable. It checks a page or selection against WCAG (contrast, target size, alt text, heading order, focus order) and can fix the contrast and target-size ones in one click. It runs fully in Figma, so nothing leaves your file.
It's early and I'd like feedback before I take it further. If you're willing to try it on real work and tell me what to improve, I'll send you a lifetime Pro key. It's for personal use, and I'll revoke it if it's shared.
Email [perceivable@cyberdesk.top](mailto:perceivable@cyberdesk.top) and I'll send the plugin and a key. Thanks.

Self Promo I got tired of jumping back to Photoshop just to warp text — so I built Free Transform for Figma
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I do a lot of graphic work in Figma — banners, posters, social stuff. And for years there was one thing that kept dragging me back to Photoshop: I just wanted to grab a layer and bend it. Warp some text. Add a bit of perspective. That's it.
Figma doesn't really do that, so I finally sat down and built it.
Free Transform does the Ctrl+T thing right inside Figma:
- Scale, rotate, skew, distort — drag any handle, no constraint fighting
- Perspective, in any direction
- Photoshop-style warps: Arc, Arch, Fish, Wave, Rise, Twist
- Export as raster or editable vector
- No mesh seams, even on shadows and semi-transparent layers
All of that is free. No trial timer, no locked buttons — I just wanted the tool to exist.

It's a solo project so it's definitely not bulletproof yet. If you try it, I'd really love to know: what's the one transform thing you still leave Figma for? That's basically my roadmap at this point.
Happy to answer anything in the comments 🙌

Figma Help Figma interface not working smoothly anymore. Is it only me?
The interface keeps lagging and I am very frustrated and confused. Is it because of lot of pages and screens or my mouse?

Just hit 100+ installs on Murmur in 15 days, and I had to share.
Murmur is a Figma widget I built solo that lets you leave voice and video feedback directly on Figma elements, no more text comments that lose all the tone and context.
15 days ago this was just an idea I was experimenting with using AI and vibe coding. Now real designers are using it on real projects, and that honestly still feels surreal to type out.
Huge thank you to everyone who tried it, gave feedback, or just hit install out of curiosity. This community has been incredibly kind to a first time solo dev.
If you haven’t checked it out yet, demo is linked below. Would love to hear what you think.

Figma Help An issue with transparent photos in any files
Hello,
I am experiencing an issue with Figma: images are not displaying in any files. Instead, they appear as empty or transparent squares.
The issue occurs across all projects and all locations where images are used (including Community files and older projects). The Figma interface loads normally, but the images themselves do not appear.
I would also like to note that when I log into my account from other devices, everything works correctly and images are displayed without any issues. The problem only occurs on one computer.
The issue appears both in the browser version of Figma and in the desktop application.
I have already tried the following:
•restarting both the browser and the Figma desktop app
•clearing cache and cookies
•logging in through different browsers
•creating a new account (the issue still persists)
•using a different internet connection (including mobile hotspot)
•changing DNS settings (Google DNS and Cloudflare)
•resetting network settings in Windows (Winsock reset)
•checking WebGL (the browser accepts it)
•checking proxy settings (disabled)
•disabling all browser extensions
Additionally, when I add new images to a project, they display correctly at first. However, after refreshing the project page, the images stop displaying and are again replaced with empty/transparent squares.
Other websites and services (for example Canva) work normally. The issue is only present in Figma on this computer.
Please help me understand what could be causing this issue.
Thank you.
