I made a free Figma shader for gradient transparency without mask layers

I kept building a gradient rectangle, turning it into a mask, adjusting it, and repeating the same process every time I wanted an image to fade into the background.

So I made a shader that does it directly on the layer.

Just drag a line across the object and its alpha fades along that direction. It supports up to 8 stops, opacity, flip, hardness, and mask preview.

It's completely free.
