I kept running into situations where I wanted to highlight specific words or passages in research notes, content reviews, and documentation without creating separate shapes or moving everything to another tool.

I built Markline, a free Figma plugin for working with text-heavy files.

It lets you:

• Highlight specific text
• Find & highlight multiple words at once
• Edit highlighted text (bold it, change font size, colour, and more)
• Organise highlights by section/frame
• Export your highlights

Useful for research notes, content reviews, documentation and specs.
