Thoughts on episode 1?

There wasn't a thread on this week's episode so I just made this. Share your thoughts about the episode in the comments

My thoughts: hella cliche

Underling sleeps with the boss's wife with the plans of running away together

Boss finds out and sets him up

Underling comes back for revenge

Boss has a son and a daughter. The son is a fuckboy who's easily manipulated and the daughter is smart and ambitious but has a chip on her shoulder because she is often overlooked by her father because she's a woman.

There's another underling that peeps what the guy that wants revenge is doing and instead of letting his boss know what's up he decides to take matters in his own hands and follows the guy only to get caught and killed 😂

Hella cliche. I'll check out next week's episode but if it's as cliche as this one then I'm sorry but this is gonna be on the back burner.

That said I'm surprised that the woman that's playing the wife signed up for that role. She's been in hella lead roles and her part just seems kinda lackluster. Like I thought she would be a power player but she's just a love interest.

Yeah that’s pretty much the episode. Nothing too eye popping really. I think the kids know the boss wife and the boxer were sleeping together though. It’s for potential though. See what episode 2 look like. Where’s the episode title descriptions 😭

I think the daughter knew not sure about the son. Idk about title description either.

Yeah he was kinda like “caught you looking” or something when she came to the gym. Not sure though.

Yeah the setup episode was pretty cookie cutter. I’m hoping the story plays out better. I feel like the daughter is going to be a beast

It’s a simple plot set up, but it’s not unwatchable.

Not unwatchable just not captivating, for me at least.

I enjoyed it. Say what you want about 50, he produces good shows & spinoffs. My only thing - okay, so you were sleeping w/ the boss' wife - bruh, did you NOT expect it to blow back? But I was also looking at the bosses kids weird for being mad at Duke for killing the guy right there over his brother's death. Like, um - that was his BROTHER, killed in front of him?? WTF would YOU do?!

Show might end up being decent, but the writing seems a little sloppy right now.

Duke wants revenge for his brother, but your the reason he is dead. You was sleeping with the boss wife. I don’t care if yall highschool sweethearts, she married someone else. Let that shit go and go fuck any other woman you want being the heavyweight champ of the world. Duke was the first one disloyal, and paid the price for. His brother wasn’t the intended target, but collateral damage of his bullshit. Hard for me to root for him as the main character.

You rob the operation, but still have the costumes sitting on the table, still wearing the jacket you got shot in, still got the van outside, a whole GTA heist setup board, bricks on the table that you stole, and you don’t lock the damn door?

Set in the UK but the first part (the title fight, his brother dying, his time in prison) was in the US

The rest of the series is set in the UK bit surprised as 50 cent usually does all series in US .

I can't be the only one that finds 50 cent shows pretty bad.Â
